Don't Miss Out on Your Vote!

On Thursday June 10th 2004 there will be local elections for all 24 wards of Dudley Borough, plus European Parliamentary elections. It's a major opportunity to have your say - but if you're not registered to vote yet, there's less than a month in which to do it.

Dudley has 72 Councillors, covering the four Parliamentary Constituencies of Dudley North (that's us!), Dudley South, Stourbridge and Halesowen. Councillors serve for four years, and boundary reorganisations mean that all seats are up for grabs this time. This means that we will each have three votes to elect three Councillors in our wards.

In Europe, eight MEP's serve the whole of the West Midlands, for a fixed term of five years. Proprotional voting is used, and your single vote is cast against a political party rather than an individual (call that democracy?).

To be eligible to vote you must have registered by 13th April 2004. Forms are available from Dudley Council by calling them on 01384 814740.
