Computer Intro for Over 50's Over 50’s in Gornal are being encouraged to get computer friendly this week with free IT taster sessions at the library in Abbey Road. The free course, to be run as part of a borough-wide Silver Surfers Day, will take place on Friday 21st May. from 10am-12.00 and 2pm-4pm. The course covers basic areas such as turning on the computer, using a mouse and gaining access to the internet and email. Many of the over 50 age group have never touched a computer in their life and because of this are fearful about where to begin. Of course, Yampy readers hardly fall into this category!
