Regular Yampy readers will know of our grievance against the Express and Star regarding their plagiarism of one of our articles (click here for details).

At the heart of their bully boy tactics was Deputy Editor Keith Harrison, but he of course is a mere acolyte of E&S uber-Fuhrer Adrian Faber, a man on a mission to take yet another newspaper into moral and circulation freefall, following previous stints at the Bristol Evening Post and the Shropshire Star.

'Darth' Faber has a - let's say - unique style of man management, and Yampy has recently come across a useful indication of the esteem in which he is held by colleagues. This poem apparently appeared on the E&S letters page, and raised many a smile at the newspaper's offices before a brave and extremely anonymous insider sent a copy along to Yampy.

It's hardly Dylan Thomas of course, but sometimes with poetry one has to dig deeper to gain an insight into the true meaning of the verse. Take the first letter of each line, for instance..
