SEDGLEY TOWN FC HELP REQUEST
West Midland League new boys Sedgley Town FC are an almost unique combination of interests involving all three of Yampy's Dudley North communities. Established this season in order to bring senior Saturday football to Sedgley, the team replaced the defunct Coseley Town, but plays its home games at Garden Walk in Gornal.
First team coach Gareth Thomas is appealing for enthusiastic and sports minded local people to help me run the club off the field, explaining to Yampy:
"To run any level of football club you need to have in place a solid structure. I am looking for people who wish to be involved in building this football club up to be an important part of the community, initially by helping to organise the first team. However, my main aim is to develop junior sides from under 7's upwards, creating a structure for Sedgley Town Sports FC"
The club is particularly keen to find Coaches, Committee members and Secretary. Anyone interested should ring Gareth for a chat on 07843 243753.
Sedgley Town has had a hectic first few weeks and are still adjusting to life in an extremely competitive legue, losing its last two games to Chaddersley & Wyrley, 3-0 in both cases. However, it's still very early days, with no requirement to press any panic buttons. Perhaps you could make the difference, and help to build a local team to be proud of?
